Book description
Part one of this memoir is the story of a Lebanese family looking for their place in America. The author grew up in a large extended loving family. That love disappeared as the family became more successful. The book is written in a series of vignettes woven together to paint the picture of the family evolution. Part two is the story of a passionless marriage and what happens to that family as they struggle to understand and deal with the mental illness of their youngest child. The author’s style is simple, direct and powerful.
