    EncompassedRunner: Mark Gabriel's book traces the origination and shifts within the Egyptian Islamist movements, including how some of the groups made a clear break from violent jihad, including the once violent Muslim Brotherhood, which now denounces violence except for defensive jihad. Al-Qaradawi's book, which is a "classic," exemplifies that shift to nonviolence, and readers might particularly be interested in it since the Muslim Brotherhood is everywhere and to the annoyance of Islamic tyrants, trying to gain influence by pushing for more democracy in Islamic nations.
