This story centers around a young girl named Tilly, who is very mischievous and quite the troublemaker. Tilly loves to play tricks on everyone she knows. Some tricks are harmless, but others have severe consequences. Tilly offers her teacher a candy, telling her it is strawberry flavored. In reality, the candy is cinnamon flavored, and her teacher is not pleased when the candy makes her mouth very hot. This trick causes her to be sent home from school, where she only causes more trouble with her tricks. ( )

Tilly is a little girl who likes to play tricks on her friend and family. As she grows up her tricks start to become mean. She gets sent home from school for playing tricks on a teacher. Her family then plays a trick on her to teach her a lesson. Tilly does not like this and learns that tricks are sometimes not fun for everyone.

Tilly is a trickster, she is always playing tricks. In the end her parents get her back and play a trick on her. Goes to show that if you play tricks odds are that someone will get you back, so beware!! ( )

Certainly better than other celebrity books (*coughJayLenocough*), but this one lacked a little in originality. It was a lot of fun, though, to live vicariously through Tilly and her tricks (and I loved her little thrill of being sent home mean, "no school!"). Good for an older storytime crowd that will get the humor and appreciate the lesson. ( )
