Una lunga serie di luoghi comuni,una storia senza alcun mordente,un'avventura che non ha nulla avventuroso. ( )

Niente di che, una trama non particolarmente originale e dei protagonisti di una piattezza assoluta, che purtroppo non brillano nemmeno nei dialoghi. ( )

Dan Brown incontra Umberto Eco e insieme vanno a trovare Manzoni. Insomma il libro vorrebbe essere un giallo medievale con intrighi mistico-religiosi e scambi di identità assortiti. In realtà ne viene fuori un raccontino da principianti che di medievale non ha nulla, molto spesso inverosimile e con personaggi vuoti e inconsistenti. Le poche parole "medievaleggianti" possono impressionare solo chi ha poca abitudine a leggere o poca familiarità con la cultura. Insomma un giallo leggero, poco misterioso e poco appassionante. Come abbia fatto a ricevere qualche premio è l'unica cosa misteriosa del libro. ( )
