April Thoughts

“The April Write” is a mass poetic collaboration which lasts the whole month of April. It is a writing challenge which encourages you to practice writing every day by contributing a piece of original work. – Angela Edgar

“The April Write” starts off with an introduction that basically gives the reader a summary of what The April Write is all about. It was nice to see the growth of the author with each entry that was made. The book is divided in three sections: 2008, 2009, and 2010. The beginning felt as though I was reading words from someone’s brainstorming journal. It wasn’t until I started reading the last section (2010) that I started to enjoy the flow of the poetry. Overall, “April Write” is an okay read, but I wouldn’t mind reading more from Angela Edgar.
