Wow, the last story was really something. It's about 1997 but is written in 1964.
Even thoug Herbert is writing about a time that's 33 years away from his own time, it feels like the worldbuilding could have been imagined today.
They have 16-lane freways and self-driving cars. There are self parking underground garages where the cars are brought down by elevaitors, and a lot of other functions that doesn't seem that farfetched or implausible
today. If only he knew how accurate his fantasies were back then! ( )
