Meh. I found this really boring. My kid liked the audiorecording of it, for what it's worth, which I guess is really the point with kids' books. But the audiorecording actually turned me off more than the text: The narration here felt painstaking and weirdly artificial in its emphasis. (

Genre: Fantasy
Critique of Genre: This is a simple example of fantasy because it is this little boys birthday and he goes to see his dinosaur friend in the museum and asks him to join. Then we get to see all of the fun things that go on at a birthday party when there's a dinosaur present.
