A beautifully illustrated book that combines pictorial as well as architectural photos and illustrations of the grande dame of U S mansions. The book has many photos of the old interior and gardens and tells in a very easy the story of the house. It is my dream, to some day go to Biltmore. I went to Newport, R. I. to see the many mansions along Bellevue Avenue and they were incredible. I highly recommend the trip and stay in one of the wonderful B & B's and take advantage of Newport's wonderful restaurants. One of the best, whose name escapes right now, was one of the best that I have ever eaten in around the world. ( )
