A mediocre novel of a first landing on the Moon that piles... improbable... plot elements up to a level of truly memorable stupidity.
The rocket crashes on landing... Because a woman who loved one of the astronauts has stowed away on the ship and her weight upset the delicate calculations.
The crash has occurred in a crater that is... a uranium field so radioactive that the astronauts will have to move to a cave outside the crater - spending a minimal time aboard the wrecked, but partly airtight, ship.
The survivors are at each others throats in no time and the result is not in the least believable.
