The interview does not go at all like Grace planned and Sal has no intentions of hiring even though he can't stop thinking about her.. then Alex does what Alex does best and takes matters into his own hands and hires Grace.. things develop from there. Before long Sal and Grace are in love.. but things are all kinds of complicated... especially after Sal's trip to Vegas where he can't seem to remember a thing that happened.. only what someones told him.. which he prays isn't true. When Grace finds put things spiral out of control and Grace is devastated and broken and Sal is desperate to learn the truth.

Excellent book.. one of the best in the serious.

"He could hardly look at her anymore without staring at her lips and thinking about how much he wanted to kiss them.... taste her." -Sal

"Sal shook his head, glaring at Alex, 'Means she's driving me crazy...'" -Sal

"'Gracie.' His voice was hoarse and a near whisper. 'What?' 'I wanna kiss you so bad.'"

"He kissed her once and whispered, 'Hold on tight.'" -Sal

"Absolutely. I can't wait to meet your little shadow." -Sal

"She was falling and she was falling hard." -Gracie

"Grief is a process, sweetheart." -Sal

"You can't heal if you don't allow yourself to grieve." -Sal

"Just so you know. I'm very serious about us. I hope you are too." -Sal

"I love you, Gracie." -Sal

"There is no doubt in my mind.. none whatsoever. I'm crazy in love with you." -Sal

"I'm afraid to love you, Sal, but I do. So much." -Gracie

"I'd never leave you." Gracie

"Relax, babe. You'll be fine, just go with it. I'm right here. I'd never let anything happen to you." -Sal

"I want you fully aware of everything that happens once we get in that tent. I want you to remember this night forever." -Sal

"God, you're beautiful." -Sal

"I want you in my bed." -Sal

"Taylor, she's our girl and I'm just looking out." -Joey

"She means everything to us and we're so glad she's found someone that obviously makes her so happy. Please don't ever hurt my baby girl." -Joey

"He stood behind her, his hands on the rail caging her in. He kissed her neck softly. 'I'm so proud of you,' he whispered" -Sal

"The future looks bright, Grace. And everything in my future, includes you now." -Sal

"This is killing her and that kills me. Do you understand?" -Joey

"You've owned my heart since day one." -Sal

"Open your eyes, Gracie." he whispered against her lips. "We're living the dream. Forever starts today." -Sal

"He owned her body and soul just like she owned him." -Sal

"No way, baby. I'm not leaving. I won't get any sleep anyway. Not without you there by my side." -Sal

"I'm not leaving you." -Sal

"The day I married you my life was complete. Anything else now is just icing. Whatever makes you happy, baby. That's all I want." -Sal ( )

Can I just say that I thought this book was awesome? Well it was. It was fun watching Grace & Sal’s story unfold.

Grace Zendejas is attending Culinary Arts School with her friend Joey. She desperately wants to be a Chef, but she keeps being told she is too young and inexperienced to be one. Even though she is still in cooking school she has had years of experience cooking in Mexico at her grandmother’s restaurant. Her mother thinks she is being too picky and should apply to places as a bartender since she already has a bartender’s license. She lines up an interview as a head chef at the well-known Moreno’s restaurant where the three insanely good-looking Moreno brothers work. She snags an interview with the oldest brother Salvador. Because of her age and to him lack of experience he doesn’t want to hire her for the head chef, but would consider her for a bartender. Grace doesn’t want to be a bartender and is only interested in cooking. When Sal notices a lie on her resume about her age he doesn’t want to hire her. Even though he becomes annoyed with her attitude and her lying on the resume, he cannot stop thinking about her or talking about her to his brother.

Sal is used to being in control and being the serious one; especially when it comes to him helping run the family business. He focuses a lot of his time and energy into work. He wasn’t looking for a relationship and he was definitely not looking to fall in love with the sexy new bartender Grace who speaks her mind, and has a temper to boot.

This was my first book by Elizabeth Reyes that I have read, and I am glad I was able to discover this story. She is able to write an engaging story with solid characters that you end up falling in love with and rooting for. And if you like Making You Mine or the previous Moreno Brothers books, take a look at Fate (A Moreno Brothers spin-off series) also by Elizabeth Reyes, which tells the story of Rose (Grace’s little sister) and Vince (Sal’s cousin) who were introduced in Making You Mine. I have been a fan of the Moreno Brothers series for the duration. Every book as had its unique and thrilling journey of lust and love. Admittedly, I was shocked when I couldn't get into the last book Romero, but now reflecting I think it may have had solely due to my inability to connect with this particular character. Even so, I was desperately hoping that making you mine would restore my love for this series and help me overcome the frustration that I had with the one book. I was thrilled to find that I was captivated from the start of Making You Mine, and found myself so completely engross that I finished this book in one sitting. Sal is a character that every reader has been following, and waiting to see his turn come round. With his quiet and tranquil personality it is exhilarating to see him get his feathers in a ruffle, and step into the lime light for a change. These main characters were breath taking in this book for lack of better words, and I would have to say this book turned out to be by far my absolute favorite of the series. While the other books focus on the growing of a relationship and two lovers coming together; this one seems to offer so much more with the progression of the novel and the baggage that Grace walks into this relationship with. That being said, Grace is far from the typically girl and I was in love with her character from the start. This young girl’s life was a tragedy, and I was rooting for this relationship for not only her happiness but also for her safety. This book offers the growth of a family, as well as, a mouthwatering romance. Never have a seen a better match than Grace and Sal not only in character, but for such an esteemed man to find a woman like Grace as pure as a white rose. This added to the pristine image that Reyes was building, and I think it was an excellent display in talent from this author. After concluding book five have some anticipations on who will be taking center stage in books to come, and I am anxious to see if my assumptions will prove correct. This is an awesome series that just keeps giving us more.
