I was actually pretty intrigued by the initial premise of this one: Marine vet finds a bag full of diamonds and decides to keep them, even though some pretty bad people are looking for them. That could have some promise in that an ex-Marine could plausibly have some extra combat and evasion skills that your Regular Joe wouldn't have without being super spy. Unfortunately, about 1/3 of the way through the book you find out that your average guy is actually a world-renowned assassin. And, for me, that ruined any originality of plot or story that it started with. Between that unwelcome twist and the weirdly graphic incest relationship between one of the bad guys and his daughter this one wasn't really for me. ( )
