  Sullywriter | Apr 3, 2013 |
NCLA Review: Tom, the cat, sets out to find his morning breakfast. He comes across a small bird, a Tweet. Tom decides the Tweet is too small to eat. He tries to take it back to its nest but he is attacked by mother bird. Tom tries many ways to make the Tweet happy. He finally manages to get the Tweet back to its nest. But in his sleep, Tom dreams of the Tweet. The next morning he found his Tweet on the ground again. Tom tries to explain to the Tweet why they can't be friends but even mother bird sees Tom's soft heart. Humorous illustrations and a rhyming text convey the theme of friendship and acceptance in spite of differences. Rating 2 —NP ( )
