This book is a great example of Fantasy because the characters in the book are monkeys and we know that the events such as playing in a pool, and making towers would not happen in real life outside of a zoo. The author uses personification, as he allows for the monkeys to do human things. The monkeys in the book sail on the sea, do tricks on a trampoline, and eat at a dinner table along with many other human activities. The pictures are great and done with ink and wash. The rhyme is a fun one to use with preschool and kindergartners learning their numbers.
