This book is essentially a list of facts about Giant Pandas with corresponding illustrations, which are occasionally diagrammed. I can't really think of much of a theme other than information, which hardly counts. Most pages are just non-sequitur informational panels with facts about diet, communication, parenting, etc.

I had trouble trying to think of ways to teach this book in a secondary curriculum. Maybe a science teacher could utilize it in some way, but it seems more appropriate for an elementary classroom. While I'm quite interested in pandas, I don't think listing panda facts would be good pedagogy. ( )
