While the plotline and structure is at points unusual, the writing keeps the reader involved. I normally get so involved in it that I finish it within a day or two. Several parts of the story are completely unexpected even after reading it quite a few times. Iris Johansen is one of my favorite authors and this book is a prime example of why. The characters are well written but at times unbelievable and too extreme to be real. While it may be necessary for the plot line, it does get a bit distracting. There is humor at times, but the timing seems off and the reader is left wondering "did they just make a joke?" If you love fast paced, twisting stories - this is a book for you. It's definitely a fun read. no reviews | add a review
