1834 The Story of Theresa Neumann, by Albert Paul Schimberg (read 12 Mar 1984) This book was first published in 1947. It tells very little that is not in Archbishop Teodorowicz's book, except it is written by an American (I guess) and after the war. It is not very profound and is very pro. It tells that Friedrich Ritter von Lam, whose first two books on Therese Neumann I read in February 1944, was murdered by the Gestapo on Feb 6, 1944. That is the very day I finished his book Further Chronicles of Therese Neumann! This book includes this sentence: "He said there was a story to the effect that about 1940, while she was in an ecstatic state and blind, a visitor put into the stigmatist's hand a postcard bearing Hitler's picture, and that with a gesture of abhorrence the sightless woman cast the card from her and exclaimed "Rauch und Feuer von Holle".. "Smoke and fire of hell!" ( )
