This graphic novel is the 2nd in the series and has five stories that are about friendship, true beauty and sacrifice. The first story is about a friendship that survives and grows even stronger. The second story is about a fairy that loses her way. Her friends bravely adventure to find her. The third story is about a beautiful dress that helps a fairy find her true beauty. Then there is a story about the pros and cons of going barefoot. It ends with a story about a fairy who gives the ultimate sacrifice, her wings.

These stories are very boldly colorful and keep the children interested. My daughter loves these books; however, she does have a little trouble following the direction of the drawings. Even though they are fictional characters, I feel they have a lot of messages they are trying to teach children that are positive.

1. This would make a lesson where the students could do a daily writing assignment on the meaning behind the story.
2. This novel also gives plenty of opportunity for students to recognize cause and effect.
