Loading... The Christmas Scrapbookby Philip Gulley
None. The second short Christmas novella from the Harmony series, "The Christmas Scrapbook" tells the story of Pastor Sam Gardner's attempt to make a special Christmas gift for his wife. In the course of trying to hide his efforts, and his special Wednesday night classes for the project, rumors begin of what might be distracting Sam. Over the weeks, a series of accidents lead frank to cut his hair short, wear a cast, and look bedraggled; the distractions and accidents lead his wife Barbara and his irascible secretary Frank to believe that he's suffering from some disease and might not live beyond Christmas. Again, author Philip Gulley's eye for the power and humor of small-town gossip, particularly among church folk, is on the money. The story is gentle and delightful, a reminder of the special efforts we make at Christmas time to reach out to others in love. no reviews | add a review

Sam Gardner is a pastor of a small church in small town Harmony Indiana.
Vowing to finally give the perfect gift to his wife, Sam enrolls in a scrapbook class. He is the only male and, it appears that he is also the only one flunking the class.
As he tries to hide the fact of the class from his wife, things spiral into a funny comedy of small town whisper down the alley communications.
This is a cute story with likeable characters that leave a warm feeling from the first page through the last.
Recommended for a warm glow during the holidays. I'll be sure to read the other books in the Harmony series. (
