‘Quilter’s Academy, Vol. 4, Senior Year’ by the mother/ daughter team of Harriet Hargrave and Carrie Hargrave have produced another wonderful book to their academy series of learning how to quilt, starting at the very basics in the Freshman edition. I have long wanted a book t hat would have patterns and instructions for the advanced quilter, and this book really fits that need. If you are a new quilter, do not start with this book! The book contains 128 pages of very detailed blocks, many that are not square blocks. This book contains patterns and lessons on making hexagon blocks, 60 degree angles, six and eight pointed stars, tumbling blocks, LeMoyne stars, Lone stars, 3 different shaped log cabin blocks, and designing your own unique blocks. This is a great book, if you want to be challenged, yet want instructions in how-tos!
