I think this book is funny. The protagonist is an intelligent teacher. But he likes young woman very much. And he is timid. So, I despise him and his action.
But the story is well. Because the story has interest peculiar to legends. ( )

Allow me to edit the latter Rip Van Winkle. Rip climbed the mountain with his dog and he met an old man who is drinking, He stayed there. Then he downed and returned, but he couldn't back the place he had left. He spent 20 years staying on the mountain! What happend on him?
I can't grasp this story ,but it is kind of good. I found it strange. ( )

This book is composed of two stories. I like latter, named 'The Legend of Rip Van Winkle.
In this story, twenty years have passed while the man was sleeping. Almost everything has changed.
It was interesting.

This book contains two stories about te legend.

There were legends about ghosts and spirits in Sleepy Hollow.A main legend was a story about the Headless Horseman.Schoolmaster Ichabod believed very strongly in legends. He experienced the strange phenomenon.

Rip Van Winkle was a lazy man.He went up into the Catskill Mountains. He saw a strange man there.

Both of stories are fantasy fiction.I entertained myself by reading them.I thought Ichabod and Rip had something in their nature that I couldn't hate. ( )
