A concise and full-detailed one volume history book about the development of Scottish nationality from the world of the Picts, through the feudal system and the "dark" middle-ages till the years of 1970. l found it a bit overdetailied because of the dates one after each other in almost every line, but it can be an adventage too if you are looking for something accurate related to a certain event or topic about Scottish history, certain you will find it in this book.
