Grades K-6. Science skills that could be used for this book to be a direct guide include mechanics, momentum, electricity, etc. Also, the information provided in this book are indeed accurate and consistant with real trains.

This book is a picture-oriented guide which describes the earliest trains up to the modern innovations of the rail system. It explains the parts of the train and the types of cars and their role. There is also an explanation pertaining to various other types of trains such as the cable car and the subway. I would certainly recommend this book as resource guide and it also consists of very well-done illustrations
