Translated by Jay Zo from Korean and edited by Arthur Wilson, a Korean War Veteran of U.S. Army A South Korean university student was forced to join the North Korean so called Voluntary Army when they invaded and took the most of South Korea in 1950, but he was recaptured by his own South Korean Army as a Prisoner of War when the North Korean Army retreated. This memoir depicts his ordeal during that agonizing period of his imprisonment without being a real soldier.
