It reads much less like an historical criticism/deconstruction of mainstream christianity that the previous two books have done. To be fail it tries to explore more its traditions spiritual ideas and practices which is less interesting to me. Also it tends to see all strands of thought and practices as literalists, But each of the main monotheistic faiths have fundamental literalists that are not the main stream. Nor does it explain why the spiritual traditions in each strand are not mass movements, Suggest that you read the other two first and attend their workshops before you read the this one. Historical revision of the origins of the three monotheistic religions from a Gnostic perspective. https://www.timothyfreke.com/ no reviews | add a review
