A wonderful Thesis covering the heyday of the corset (as apposed to stays) that I wish had been published as a book. If it had been published as a book, I think many would rank it up there with Norah Waugh's Corsets and Crinolines.
the Author broke the time span up into 5 year increments and covers briefly the changes in corsets and fashion in general, showcasing period images (many are carefully re-drawn). Also included are a few patterns from corsets in the local historical society. ( )
