I enjoyed the audio CD edition of the Museum of Thieves read by Claudia Black. The writing and the pacing of the story were excellent. This is the story of Goldie Roth who lives in a town called Jewel. All children are tethered to adults by guardchains until their Separation Ceremony that is held at age 16. They have recently lowered the age of separation to 12 and Goldie is ecstatic! However, a supposed act of terrorism in a nearby town causes her Separation Day to be cancelled. Goldie can't bear the thought of 4 more years chained to her parents or the Blessed Guardians. When an opportunity for escape presents itself Goldie seizes it and runs away. What follows is an action packed adventure that will make you laugh and cry. Claudia Black's exuberant narration adds to this wonderful story. I would recommend this book to fans of the fantasy or dystopian genres.
