While I didn't particularly root for the hero, I was more than happy to see the bad guy taken down. ( )Entertaining debut. Enough twists and turns to keep you interested until the pace ramps up for the denouement. Will certainly pick up more from this author. A tremendously gripping debut novel about a man struggling to put his shady past behind him. This is an exceptional debut thriller by Marcus Sakey....the plot is great, writing smooth, kept my interest throughout and I can't wait for my husband to read this one. Light, easy read with excellent characterization and a superb ending ~ a page turner! I look forward to more by this promising writer! Gritty, dark thriller about past mistakes and the way they can hunt you down. If you like Pelecanos and Lehane, give Sakey a try. I listened to the audio version, read by Grover Gardner. no reviews | add a review
