I was reading a book about the wild west, which made me pick up another book on Billy the Kid, so I had famous killers on my mind when I went into Borders looking for a children's book. Serial Killers: They Live to Kill was shining brightly from the Bargain Books with its red jacket and near 600 page thickness. For $4.99, must have.

So yes, I've spent the past weeks' bedtime reading about history's most infamous and oddball murderers, from Ivan the Terrible and Al Capone to Saddam Hussein and Aileen Wuornos. And yes, my dreams were weird.

This is one of those terribly printed B-books, with numerous errors and big letters. It's not enjoyable, but plain old interesting. If you've ever wanted to know the general life story of any bad boy (or girl), it's a quick, cheap read. It's not horrific or gory and there are no mysteries - except why. ( )
