Gentlemen's Blood: A History of Dueling Purity of Blood Blood Kin: A Novel The Haven: A Novel of Blood Curdling Horror Eyewitness Bloody Sunday

I do read quickly, especially when I have time to get stuck into a book! 18. Purity of Blood Second in the series, about the Inquistion investigating people's religious backgrounds in a Spain full of intrigue and suspicion. Really enjoyed it.

I'm going to Spain in March. I've already read Captain Alatriste and was thinking about taking the next two -- Purity of Blood and Sun over Breda -- to read on the plane. I've already read Shadow of the Wind, but it would be thematic too.

I was catching up on your threads and saw you read The Purity of Blood and liked it. I just read Captain Alatriste and I am anxious to read the next one so I'm glad you liked it. I've also read The Three Musketeers. Do you have other recommendations for books of that type?

#39 Purity of Blood by Arturo Perez-Reverte These books have intrigued me. I love the Inigo character (the narrator). I really feel for him in all his adventures with Captain Alatriste. He is curious so he gets himself into trouble. What has really happened while reading these books is ...

>65: I just finished the second, Purity of Blood and liked it just as much. I've got the third waiting to go.

>37: I've read the first two the Captain Alatriste books (Captain Alatriste and Purity of Blood) and enjoyed them. I just finished the latter last week. I've got the third in the series waiting to go.

... The problem with the 4 for $10 is that they always put one or two books that I really want on the table. Last time, it was Purity of Blood by Arturo Perez-Reverte (who wrote the awesome The Club Dumas). So, I end up agonizing over the crappy romances and chick lit to fill out the group. *sig ...

Purity of Blood by Arturo Perez-Reverte - it's on my TBR shelf just waiting for me.

... to move ahead strongly.

Next up, perhaps The Tomb by F. Paul Wilson or Purity of Blood by Pérez-Reverte.

... I didn't care that much for the first in the series, but the next two are, IMHO (yo Tad!), much better. I really liked Purity of Blood. But then I love everything I've ever read by Perez-Reverte. There are books of his that still haven't been translated into English. I've taken a look at ...

... nion 4. The Fencing Master - I agree this one was mediocre compared to the others I have both Captain Alatriste and Purity of Blood, so I will be looking forward to Talbin's report!

... lack of love so people still give it a go if they're pondering it! I finished a bit of quality fluff earlier this week: The Purity of Blood by Arturo Pérez-Reverte. I'm quite enjoying his Captain Alatriste series: they're kind of dark in places but very easy to read and nicely written ...

Arturo Perez-Reverte is a good story teller. I really enjoyed Club Dumas and hope to begin Purity of Blood soon. Reading a Spanish author, and book about books, makes a fun read.

I wish I could say I've read more but I've only read Territorio Comanche. I tried reading Limpieza de Sangre, the 2nd tome of his Alatriste series but put it down after 70 pages or so.
