I found this book absolutely essential to reading the trilogy. I'm not really that crazy about The Kane Chronicles (compared with Camp Halfblood), one reason being the large number of unfamiliar gods, demons, and the like appearing from Egyptian mythology. The Kane Chronicles Survival Guide is quite helpful here, and that's why I've rated it 5***** when I only rate the actual books of the trilogy at 3*** each. ( )
