The writers of this board book did a better job of creating a story that is suitable for young readers than many other Dora books that we have read. The text is just one to three simple sentences for every two page spread. The story is about Dora and her friends making wishes on a bright star. The reader gets a chance to make a wish, and even the star makes one. This book is a nice read aloud, and it has the bonus of being written in English and Spanish. It is a board book based on a television character that is surprisingly sweet and readable, if not great. The illustrations are bright and, well, Dora-like. This is a decent book, better than I expected, and I would choose it over most other character-based stories. ( ) no reviews | add a review
