Fireman Small's life has never been an easy one. As a fire fighter, he rescues animals and people from trees to buildings to pit holes endlessly. He doesn't get any sleep because of his job. Despite this, he's a determine hardworking person who does his job well to help the community. I really enjoy this book because the reader can relate to how hard a person works. With Fireman Small's life, the reader can see how he doesn't get any sleep and to pick up the fire bell constantly one after another to help people in need. And appreciation is important to acknowledge for a person's work hard because everyone deserves a break and recognition for their contribution of their hard work. Overall, this is a good book to read to students because it's written in rhyme and it's fun to learn about the importance and appreciation of a person's hard work. ( )

24 months - a very cute read, good use of repetition without being boring. Great rhyming and story telling. The unique artwork seemed familiar to Eek There's a Mouse In The House an GR confirmed it's the same author/illustration, we love that one too! We will have to search out and read more of his titles. This is a good book for children because it shows children how to be helpful to others. It is also a rhyming book as well. After fireman small helping everyone in town they all come to visit him at the station and say thank you. ( )

Fireman Small is woken up by the fire alarm everytime he tries to get some rest, because there are animals in need of a hero. At the end of the story he finally gets his well-deserved rest after a busy day of rescuing cats from trees, baby bunnies from wells, and putting out an actual fire. ( )

This is great book to teach children about firemen and what they do for us. Fireman Small is the only fireman in their city and he works hard day and night to protect all the people and animals. ( )
