The only sequel Crichton ever wrote, and very worth reading. Starts off a bit slow, but quickly turns exciting and is a page-turner! On equal to "Jurassic Park". ( )

I would never have picked these books out for myself, but I enjoyed them thoroughly. Riveting stories, excelleny characters, and the coolest animals.

As a warning, parts are quite violent and graphic. ( )

This is a much more interesting adventure story than the first one, which gets bogged down in so much scientific explanation. ( )

I didn't like this one as much as the first, but I am glad that I read it. ( )

The Lost World is a mix of scientifical words and dinosaurs. The first half of this book is extremely hard to get through as it is dry and wordy and gets completely lost on the reader. Once the setting changes to Isla Sorna however the book is extremely hard to put down. There however are parts that continue the wordiness yet that is mostly focused on the character of Ian Malcolm. Another thing to mention is the constant changes as to how some of the characters are referred to which can get confusing at times, as well as the technical names of dinosaurs which is not always known.
