While the plot of these two stories was relatively engaging, I had a very hard time reading it because of the number of spelling and grammatical errors included. Many times, I had to go back and re-read sections to see if I was misunderstanding what was written, or to decipher what the author meant to say. It was often as if the author had been writing one sentence and then went back to edit and finished with a different sentence. This author needs to engage an editor. "They all turned surprisingly around to see Officer Clark, and in full regalia, come up the sidewalk towards them." I tried to come up with other things to say about this book, and I don't usually get hung up on editing, but this time, unfortunately, that is all that I came away with from this book. Also included in the book besides the two short stories is a "From the Author" note, a "Foreword", an "Introduction", a summary of each short story, an author bio, an "About Me" section, an "About my writing" section, and an "Awards/Achievements" section, as well as various ways to contact the author. I will be interested to see more from this writer, as the ideas are interesting. I received a free ebook copy of this book from the author via LibraryThing. no reviews | add a review

The Inhabitants of Magnolia Park is a collection of short stories ( if 2 stories can be called a collection). Although my version had a bonus story included.
I found the stories to be boring and nonsensical. The dialogue in "Peyton's Playmate" was juvenile to say the least, for 2 people who were supposed to be great at sexual games.
I enjoyed "Paper Images" a little more. This story had promise. With a bit of tweaking it could become something.
The bonus story "The Crush" wasn't worth the 2 minutes it took to read it.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone. ( )
