Another book in the If You Give A... series. Cute book. This is a great series to use to teach circle stories. Some of the connections are hard to make, but I think younger students would really enjoy them. ( )

Cat wants a cupcake which spirals into everything from the beach to the history museum.

Another book in the If You Give A... series. I think the series is cute and great for those in the kindergarten/young elementary ages. The illustrations are cute and this would be great to read before summer break. ( )

I didn't like "If You Give a Cat a Cupcake" nearly as much as "If You Give a Pig a Pancake," but children might enjoy the humor in it. Additionally, the story could be used in a Cause and Effects lesson or a sequencing lesson. A good read aloud book for younger children. The story begins with giving a cat a cupcake and then being asked for sprinkles. The story is cyclical in nature as the story begins with a cat wanting sprinkles and then ending the same way. ( )

A series of increasingly far-fetched events might occur if someone were to give a cupcake to a cat.
