Tops & Bottoms is a trickster tale. Bear owns a farm, but is too lazy to do the harvesting. Hare offers to help and makes a deal to keep either the tops or the bottoms of whichever crop he is working on. The deals always seem to go in the favor of Hare, which frustrates Bear. This book has wonderful illustrations and a unique layout where you open the pages to the top of the book instead of to the left. Good messages about hard work and following through on a deal even if it doesn't go in your favor. ( )

The lazy bear and the clever hare come into contact and work out a deal that bear thinks is great! The hare's clever ways outwit the bear time and time again and the bear soon finds out that hare is smarter than he thought. This story has great illustrations and engages readers of all ages from beginning to end! I would highly recommend this book! ( )
