A fantastic how-to book for beginning homebrewers. The book is well-organized and clearly written, and it strikes a great balance between step-by-step instructions and more in-depth chapters. I was able to successfully dive in to brewing my first batch of beer with a minimum of reading and research, but the more detailed information was all there for me to learn once my brew was happily bubbling away in the fermenter and I had nothing to do for a few weeks.

The first edition of the book is available for free online, which is what I used, but it's such a great reference that I plan to pick up a hard copy I can make notes in. ( )
