A decent collection of stories. There was a nice variety of themes to keep it interesting. I also do like it when the author decides to leave the endings a bit open- however, to have all the stories open ended made me feel a bit cheated. Sometimes you just have to come up with a solid ending and commit to it. That being said- it wasn't a bad collection but it certainly wasn't the best I have read either.

Recommended if you enjoy open ended stories. ( )

Over all this book was ok. A few of the stories ended out of no where, It was like there was no ending.
It was a quick easy read. ( )

It is a good collection of suspenseful short stories. I found it easy to read. I would have liked to have seen a couple of the stories developed a little more. Altogether, I did enjoy reading. ( )

Collection of ten short stories - all violent. While I enjoyed Mr. Ashe's book We Need the Blood, this collection was just not my cup of tea. While I found a few of the stories interesting most just did not seem finished. With that said, I do encourage readers of this to take a look at Mr. Ashe's book, We Need the Blood. ( )

Read and reviewed for Early Reviewers

A book of ten short stories - all violent but all very different from each other. My overwhelming sense at the end of this book of short stories was frustration. I liked the writing style and found myself quickly drawn into the stories, however I wasn't a fan of the open endings. Perhaps this says more about me as a reader that the author as a writer, but I was left with a sense of not knowing what happened next. Sometimes this is a useful technique, but it left me feeling a little disappointed. I did enjoy the writing style and would be interested to see if the author produces any other work. I think I would enjoy a longer novel more. ( )
