Work detailsThe Two Week Wait by Sarah Rayner
None. I received this book as a Goodreads ARC giveaway. This was a great book and I really enjoy it ( )The Two Week Wait by Sarah Rayner explores some of the layers involved when a family wants a child and it does not come easily. In this book, the author parallels the lives of two women who might seem very different on the outside, but when inspected closer, are very much alike. The clock is ticking and Lou would like to have children, but she has not discussed this with her partner. Will Sofia be willing to add a child to their family? Cath and husband Rich would like to begin a family also. She wishes deep in her heart that it will happen somehow and does what she can to make a child a reality. A new and exciting program opens up for people with trouble conceiving. In this program, there may be an answer for both women and their families. It involves IVF and I was surprised that some people are against it so vehemently, but to be fair, there was also unexpected support for participants. This book personifies the spirit of giving and faith and the author's prose reads like poetry in many cases. I won this ARC through a Goodread's First Reads program.
