Summary:
This book tells us about six different nighttime animals. It describes the animals, tells us where they live, how they survive, what they eat, and how they care for their young. Its written in children's language with key words in the front for children to know. Some words have the pronunciation next to it in the book.

Personal Reaction:
As a child I loved to learn about bats. My children picked out this book and enjoyed it. I read it with them whenever we go to the wild life conservation or zoo.

Classroom Extensions:
1. Have the kids draw a picture of their favorite nocturnal animal.
2. Discuss the differences of how babies are cared for.
