Structureel wat rommelig met veel herhalingen. De auteur moet al eens gissen naar de ware toedracht omdat er zo weinig gegevens zijn over het privé-leven van het onderwerp, c.q. omdat er zo weinig over te vertellen is. Interessant vanwege de Nederlandse connectie (Gresshoff, du Perron Bloem e.a.) en de schildering van het (redelijk bekrompen) Antwerpse en Brusselse literatuurmilieu. ( )
