My favorite player as a kid emerges as a flawed hero but a very real, human being who has led a full life with many ups and downs. I understand, appreciate and respect #12 more after reading this book. The only shortcoming of the book is that the author was unable to interview Joe himself. Joe wanted to be paid for the interview. Good for the author to say no. Bad on Joe for asking for it. Because again, especially compared to Tiger Woods, Joe's not such a bad guy after all. In fact a pretty good guy and a great human story about someone who changed pro football. ( ) no reviews | add a review
