The final installment of the Han Solo trilogy does not disappoint. Lots of action, a few tears, Han and Bria finally get back together - but man has that girl changed.
Want to know why Han only looks out for himself?
Want to know why Han's not too keen to risk his neck, or his ship, for the rebellion?
Want to know why it's so hard for Han to tell Leia he loves her?
Read this series. I LOVED that the book took you right up to Han and Chewie's meeting with Luke and Obi Wan. Great read!
The author does try too hard in some places and ends up over-telling the moment - but despite that it's still a great series. ( )

i was reading rebal dawn.it is by a.c. crispin and is the third book in the han solo trilogy.overall the trilogy was really good. it was worth my time to read it.i chose to read this book because the 1st two booms in the trilogy were good so i thought id choose to read the 3rd.the book was really good.
the book tied everythiong from thew 1st two together.they left no big plot holes.the main idea was han solo was doin better and that his life was good. in the end it turned out that he got his true love back just to have her taken away again.
overall it was a very very good book and i would recomend reading it. i personally liked the story line given to han solo.he is already well known character through th movie this just made him more likeable. ( )

I love how this book brings us right into the Star Wars movie. I felt badly for Han when his first true love turns out to be more dedicated to her idealism than to people. The only thing I have to complain about these books is that Han is a little two dimensional. Other than that, a good yarn. ( )

Fun stuff, but the author tried too hard to work in quotes and things from the movies. Too many comments about Han being scruffy and other things. But, it was still a peek into how Han grew up and what made him who he was. ( )

I now know the rules of Sabacc :)
Love Bria and her role in the rebellion. and we get a mention of Winter and Leia :)
I was in suspencse when Han and Lando are playing sabacc and Han wins the Falcon. Although with that noisy Barbel i can see why Lando would think he was cheated but Han did win fair and square!
Durga Durga Durga..... never ever get involved w/ Black Sun! At least he got his revenge on Jilac.
Jabba is a ruthless slug. but you need a Hutt like thay around for a good story.
Bria had more of a role this time and enjoyed her P.O.V. even at the expense of Han's updates beign told in interludes. I did want the whole story of Han's scar though.
Poor Salla, conpensating the loss of her ship w/ wanting to shackle Han. Back off, he's meant for Leia!
The Bria/Han reunion was so intense:lol: Business only my ass!
The Yelsia raid was good. Bria is like Hariett Tubman, going back to rescue slaves time and time again. Too bad she betrayed Han, but they are not meant to be. I still thought she was a cool badass.
How perfectly ironic that Bria- Han's first love- unknowingly transmitts the Death Star plans to Leia- Han's future love. :)
Those little orphans were so cute and sure saved Han's behind. Too bad Han lost the spice though. Makes sense why Jabba would be after him. and I beleieve Han did set a record for the Kessel Run. How can Chewie doubt it?
and perfect epilogue, leading right into A New Hope. ( )

Amazon.com Amazon.com Review (ISBN 0553574175, Mass Market Paperback)

Book 3 of the Han Solo trilogy, Rebel Dawn tells the tale of young Han from his winning of the Millennium Falcon from Lando Calrissian in a sabacc tournament to his fateful meeting in the Mos Eisley cantina with Luke and Obi-Wan. Along the way, Han gets his first taste of the Rebel Alliance, and runs afoul of Jabba the Hutt--which comes back to haunt him later. Performer David Pittu's delivery is quiet and controlled, relying more on the sound effects and John Williams's music from the Star Wars Trilogy films for dramatic effect. At times, Pittu's voice is positively deadpan--perhaps allowing the listener to find his own humor in events such as the Wookiee betrothal ceremony (FYI: it involves the male Wookiee killing a small Kashyyykan animal and offering it to the female. If she bites into its soft underbelly, she has accepted the proposal). Ah, romance. (Running time: 3 hours, 2 cassettes) --C.B. Delaney
