This book was just eh for me. Celia is put through a lot! For most of the book Griffen, the hero, was callous and unfeeling. And took total advantage of her and the situation! I had very mixed feeling about the whole book! ( )

Lady Wombat says:

Well written but completely old-school in its sexual politics -- overcome my reluctance about embracing sexuality by raping me and I'll love you... Amazing how recently (book published in 1990) this ideology was still being actively promulgated.
