Dr. Jane Cooper is dubbed as the `nerd' or plain Jane so when she meets a stranger at the hospital ball, she does an out of character thing for once. She has a one night fling with a stranger.
Next morning she quietly walks away but the stranger turns out to be the new consultant. And they are colleagues now. They feel the attraction between them and start going out.
After catching her ex- fiancée cheating on her, with her twin sister, she was not looking for love, was she? So what would they do about the attraction simmering between them? Jane had distanced herself from her family and twin sister after the incident with her ex-fiancé. She also grew up feeling inadequate as she didn't turn to being a supermodel like her mum was and now her twin is.
Dr Ed Somers is divorced and he is also not ready for love either. Then he has a family crisis when he finds out that his dead mother had cheated on his father and he and his elder brother may not be real brothers. Depending on Jane during this crisis he realizes he loves her and asks her to marry him. Though Jane agrees, but she still has not told him about her twin sister and her treachery. Then tragedy strikes as Jane's twin strikes again!
What will happen when Ed finds out that Jane's twin hurt his own loving family? And will Jane ever forgive her own family and her twin? Jane finds out that Ed is the second son of a Baron.
How will two such diverse characters from such different backgrounds get together?
Emotions are palpable and heart-wrenching. You can feel their pain.
DR CINDERELLA'S MIDNIGHT FLING is a moving, uplifting and feel good romance. It is packed with witty dialogue and intense emotion. For a medical romance this story has more than enough action and drama to hold a reader's interest. I connected with Jane at once and was rooting all the way for her on her quest for HEA!
Kate Hardy brings this emotional and poignant story of past hurts, dealing with grief and new beginnings which will keep a reader turning pages and devour it in one sitting! (
