After reading Sherlock Holmes stories, Freddy the Pig decides to try his hand at detective work. After a bumbling start to this new career, he soon makes a name for himself, solving several crimes of animal natures, as well as bringing two human bank robbers to justice.
A funny, light-hearted children's book that has aged remarkably well since its original publication in 1932. ( )

An entertaining children's story about a detective pig in a farm yard with his fellow animal sidekicks. Read out loud to my 10 yr. old son who received the book from his grandparents. I especially liked the parts when people were involved with the animals as well. ( )

When I was a child, this was my personal favorite of all the many "Freddy the Pig" books as I already loved mysteries and Freddy really does do some serious detecting in this one, at least, serious in that he makes real deductions from evidencem though as usual wi ( )
