Recently, the following books have left my home:
Magic Lessons
Magic or Madness
Magic's Child
Princess Ben
The memory keeper's daughter
I returned them all to B&N, the first four because I finished reading them and realized that it was a mistake to buy them because I don't ... ... almost never happens. Though I did like the ending.
Then I plowed through the first third of Marya Hornbacher's Madness. I loved her other memoir, Wasted, and I am really, well, actually I can't say I'm enjoying this one. It's fabulous, don't get me wrong, but having had my own ... ... plot and motivations, enjoyable story. Available for download here.

I ... ... Ironside and Wicked Lovely are next in my pile.
Blood and Chocolate and The Silver Kiss are good. I love the Magic or Madness trilogy. And Wildwood Dancing and Tantalize. Good books. Seconding Scott Westerfeld, The Bartimaeus trilogy and Garth Nix.
Others I love are the Magic or Madness trilogy, Holly Black's stuff, A Great and Terrible Beauty, Stephenie Meyer's Twilight/New Moon/Eclipse, Annette Curtis Klause's The Silver Kiss and Blood and Choc ... 47. Magic or Madness by Justine Larbalestier -- YA
Reason and her mother have been on the run from Reason's Grandmother pretty much her whole life. Reason's mother has told her awful stories of her Grandmother believing she has magic and doing wicked things. Then Reason's mother is put ... Humdao, I would suggest Magic or Madness, Magic Lessons, and the third book coming out very soon but whose name I do not know. They're YA, pretty short, very well-written, and I think would appeal to teen girls without talking down to them. I'll see if I can get my hands on a couple of free ... ...

ANDRE NORTON AWARD
Magic or Madness, Justine Larbalestier (Razorbill)
As previously announced, James Gunn was presented the Damon Knight Memorial Grand Master Award, and D.G. Com ... I just finished Magic Lessons by Justine Larbalestier, the second in a trilogy (the first was Magic or Madness). The author has a new take on magic use that's really interesting, so I would recommend them to YA fantasy fans. In a completely different vein of YA fantasy, I also read The Pinhoe ... Just read Magic or Madness--I loved all the Australia parts and was less enamored of the New York parts. But the family relationships were very interesting.
