I've really enjoyed this series and the author's characterization, but I'm vaguely depressed by how realistic I find these terrible, terrible men. ( ) The sin, of course, is greed, but it is difficult to see how it ties in to the murder of a grandmother and the pursuit of a very young boy. The reader learns about the family history through a parallel story two generations back, and so knows more than the police, until Rebekka Martinsson connects the murder to other family disasters. In the meantime, the usual political idiocy prevails. A good entry in this series, but I suspect the author has a bleak view of human frailty.
