The content is informative and interesting, and the illustrations are entertaining, but the text can be difficult to read, both in terms of legibility and flow. ( ) This book tells the story of Julia Child and how she became interested in cooking throughout her life. The book goes into the details of Julia's life from where she grew up, to becoming a spy in World War II, to meeting her husband and moving to France. The text is hand written, so it adds more sentiment and a special twist to the story, but this could also make it difficult for students to read.
