I enjoyed the book. At first I found it somewhat hard to get into the story, but that sure changed fast. The fact the hero, if you want to call him that, is not military but rather a scientist makes you wonder if we really need generals and such in space. I also found it very interesting that the actual military consisted of a Commander, a Marine Sergeant and a Marine Private and the hero listened to what they had to say and acted on it. As was said elsewhere I didn't like the ending only because I wanted the book to keep on going. I hope there is a sequal that is as good. Well done.
